Retired MSG Dale Boicourt is a resident of Johnston, Iowa. He enlisted into the Iowa National Guard in January 1997 as a cannon crew member of C Battery 1st Battalion 194th Field Artillery out of Estherville, IA. MSG Boicourt’s assignments include cannon crewmember and ammunition team chief. he received his associates degree from Iowa Lakes Community College in Business Management and Administration in 2002, prior to deploying for Operation Nobel Eagle on August 2002. MSG Boicourt accepted an AGR Recruiting position in January 2005 and has held a variety of assignments in the Iowa Army National Guard. His assignments in the Recruiting and Retention Battalion include; Recruiting and Retention NCO on the Des Moines, IA team from 2005 to 2010, Forward Deployed Brigade Senior Retention NCO from 2010 to 2011 with the 34th Infantry Division Brigade Combat Team (IBCT), MEPS Guidance Counselor from 2011 to 2012, Recruiting and Retention NCO and Drill Sergeant from 2012 to 2017, Interstate Transfer Coordinator and Interservice Recruiter, Waiver and Suitability NCO, and Senior Drill Sergeant from 2017 to 2020. His most current assignment is the Recruiting Section Chief for the Des Moines, IA Team Wolfpack. His deployments include Operation Noble Eagle with the 1st Battalion 194th Field Artillery, 2002-2003 and Operation Enduring Freedom Task Force Red Bulls, 2010-2011 with HHC 34th Infantry Division Brigade Combat Team. MSG Boicourt, received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Liberty University in 2013. MSG Boicourt’s military schooling includes US Army Basic Training and AIT, Professional Leadership Development Course, Basic Non Commission Officer Course, Advanced Non Commission Officer Course, Recruiting and Retention Non Commission Officer Course, 79T Conversion Course, Army Basic Instructor Course, Small Group Instructor Course, Air Assault School, Drill Sergeant Academy, and Master Leader Course. MSG Boicourt’s military awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (2nd Award); Army Commendation Medal (2nd Award); Army Achievement Medal (6th Award); Army Good Conduct Medal (5th Award) Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal (2th Award); National Defense Service Medal; Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; Armed Forces Reserve Medal (2nd Award, w/ Hourglass & "M” device); Afghanistan Campaign Medal (w/2 Campaign Stars); Non Commissioned Officers Professional Development Ribbon (w/4); Army Service Ribbon, Army Overseas Service Ribbon; NATO Medal; Iowa State Service Medal (5nd Award); Iowa Commendation medal; Iowa Leadership Ribbon; Armed Forces Component Achievement medal (2nd Award); Superior Unit Award; Air Assault Badge; Expert Recruiting Badge (w/D54); Drill Sergeant Badge; and Order of St Peritus. MSG Boicourt resides in Johnston, Iowa and is married to Amber, where they raise their 3 children, Audrey, Lance, and Hailey.
